Fun and interactive
My 9 year old son learned so many important concepts in this class in a fun and interactive way. He really looked forward to class (and he's pretty sports oriented, so the fact he looked forward to a money class is pretty impressive). He learned the importance of viewing commercials critically, budgeting, and how debt works. He loved creating his own commercial with a classmate. In fact, he asked if he could take Dollar Scholars AGAIN next year(!!) - Lisa Kirby
Laying the foundation
My 5th grader was very enthusiastic about the class even though math isn't her favorite subject. She had a great introduction to financial terminology that would help lay the foundation for handling money. Lisa and Patricia successfully made this class fun and engaging. Introduces ideas in an age-appropriate context
My son has really been enjoying this class. Learning about basic financial concepts in a group of his peers seems to hold his attention much better that hearing it from a parent.
