We cover various ways to earn income, including through interest and work. Kids learn how to identify their own unique skills and talents that can help them earn income. Students present their own ideas of how they can earn money and work as a group on ways to improve their plans.

Saving
In our classes on saving, we discuss the importance of saving and teach kids how to save, including how to set short-term and long-term goals. Kids enjoy choosing something to save for and then working out how to achieve their goals with the help of their fellow students.

Spending
In our classes on spending, kids learn about various ways to pay for things and the concept of debt. Additionally, the students learn how to critically examine advertisements before spending their money.

Entrepreneurship
We focus on how to start a business. This lesson is one of the students' favorites, as they enjoy presenting their own business plans and hearing feedback from their fellow classmates. The class inspires the students to be creative and collaborative.

Budgeting
We discuss the importance of budgeting and how to budget your money. The kids then participate in fun activities to practice budgeting their money.

Behavioral Economics
In our behavioral economics classes, we introduce the students to topics such as loss aversion and the framing effect. We discuss how people predictably make irrational decisions when it comes to spending money. As a class, we learn to recognize the influences at play when making such decisions by engaging in thought-provoking and interactive exercises.

How Stocks Work
In a fun and kid-friendly environment, we teach the fundamentals of what it means to buy and sell stock. We discuss the important factors to consider before investing in a company. The kids learn critical problem solving and money management skills as they choose a hypothetical company to invest in.

How Index and Mutual Funds Work
Kids learn how index and mutual funds work. We learn fun facts about the companies included in the funds, and choose real companies to track as investors.

Advertisements
What strategies are used when marketing a product? How can we recognize those strategies? In a collaborative effort, we analyze what ads are trying to sell and trying to hide. The kids then work in groups to create and present their own advertisement.

Pricing
Through fun activities we learn what everyday items cost. The kids learn to compare sale items and calculate unit price as they shop for the best deals.

Each student is encouraged to think of how their own unique skills and talents could be applied to a business idea. Incorporating what they've learned about stock, marketing and pricing, the kids expand on their business plans.
